METEORA
Visit the impossible! Meteora means “Suspended in the air” and this is exactly what they are. 20 Monasteries, founded as early as 1344AD were built on top of steep rock formations to keep intruders away and monks in solidarity. The 4-hour road journey will take you to 3 monasteries (Great Meteoro, Varlaam & Holy Trinity) were we will have plenty of time to walk up, explore their unique history, enjoy their spectacular unique views and connect with the Divine. Our bus will afterwards take us to the nearby town of Kalampaka to grab lunch and begin the journey back to Athens.
