Engineering Internship
This is an in-country hands-on internship program, at the research centers of the University of West Attica in Athens & of the International Hellenic University in Thessaloniki with provided shared housing and local team support.
Interns will have the opportunity to choose between nine career paths:
3D Printing | AI in Engineering | Climate Change | Cybersecurity | Drones |
Hybrid Energy Systems | Industry 5.0 | Sustainable Transportation | Waste Management |
Additive Manufacturing (3D Printing): Analyze Additive Manufacturing (AM) technologies by studying case studies from prototypes to mass production. Explore how AM integrates with environmental sustainability.
AI in Engineering: Employ AI techniques to optimize engineering processes, improve energy efficiency, and design innovative solutions. AI applications in air pollution modeling and air quality forecasting.
Air Pollution and Climate Change:Utilize advanced data analytics tools to identify and address the hidden impacts of climate change. Develop comprehensive strategies to mitigate air pollution and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Tools for calculating adverse effects on public health and economy.
Cybersecurity: The aim of the internship is to secure the communications between drones and the control station and avoid either sensing data or the drone control to be compromised. So this is a research role on something new and in a very popular sector as drones are used by many end users, from military to civilian uses.
Drones: Interns will have the opportunity to design, assemble, program drones and their sub-systems. The program is designed to be hands-on and allow the intern to work in various phases of the drone development including field work.
Hybrid Energy Systems & RES: Study the integration of renewable energy sources into hybrid energy systems. Develop strategies to optimize energy efficiency and reduce reliance on fossil fuels
Industry 5.0: This internship focuses on getting hands on experience in human-centric technologies (AI, AR/VR, Blockchain, Cybersecurity, IoT, Robots and user interface/experience design) in order to support projects across a range of different industries.
Sustainable Transportation: Analyze the market dynamics and technological advancements of electromobility. Develop strategies to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles and expand charging infrastructure.
Waste Management: Familiarize with the basic types of wastes along characteristics and treating processes. Recommend optimal management technologies and strategies in order the minimum possible environmental impact.
The team is made-up by well known professors and PhD researchers involved with large engineering & academic projects around Europe, eliminating any language barriers and offering international expertise. Our engineering internship program offers pre-engineering & graduates students the opportunity to gain top quality experience interning on drones. With valuable experience, you’ll develop your skills and understanding of different engineering aspects.
